Measuring Diameter and depth
Our measurements should be DIAMETER X DEPTH. Remove rims and heads, and measure from the top edge of raw shell to bottom edge of the raw shell for DEPTH and then measure the outside edge of the shell across the drum for DIAMETER.
We always reccommend to cut wraps back 1/4 inch on each side to prevent interference with bearing edges. We also recommend cut back of 1/8 inch on most wood bass hoop inlays without a routed inlay. Metal hoop inlay sizes are usually exact inside the inlay .
